Adding a New Parent Record

There are two methods for adding a new parent record in the system.

Adding a Parent Record Through the Members Menu

The first method involves adding the parent record from the Members menu. This is the recommended method for adding a new parent record in the system as it is more convenient and takes a fewer number of clicks.

1. Click Members>Parent Listing.
2. On the Parents Listing page, click the Add Parents button on the top right.

3. On the Add Parents page, enter the parents' first and last names, mobile numbers, contact email address, home telephone number, and complete address (including street, city, state, zip, and country). You may enter either both parents, or the father or mother only.

NOTE: Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).


4. Click Create.

NOTE: When you add a new parent record, S-Success checks if there is already a cell phone number and address registered to any of the names on the record. If there is already a record in the system with the same cell phone number and address, you will not be allowed to create a new parent record. This ensures that there will be no duplicate parent records in the system.

Adding a Parent Record Through the Student Menu

The second method involves adding the parent record from the Student menu.

When adding a new student, you need to select the student's parents from the Parent Listing. However, if the parent record is non-existent, you can add the parent record directly from the Create Student Record page.

1. Click Student>Add Student.
2. On the Create Student Profile page, if you do not find the child's parents on the Parent Listing, click the Add Parents button to the right of the Select Parents list.


3. On the Create Parents Profile page, enter the parents' first and last names, mobile numbers, contact email address, home telephone number, and complete address (including street, city, state, zip, and country). You may enter either both parents, or the father or mother only.

4. Click Create.

After the parent record is created, you are taken back to the Create Student Profile page, where you can proceed with adding the student record into the system. For more information, see Adding a New Student Record.

NOTE: When you add a new parent record, S-Success checks if there is already a cell phone number and address registered to any of the names on the record. If there is already a record in the system with the same cell phone number and address, you will not be allowed to create a new parent record.
