Managing Files

Files may be added to a student record for record-keeping and other purposes. Files added to a student record may be viewed, downloaded or deleted; their names can also be edited.

To Add a File to a Student Record

1. Open the student record for viewing (see Viewing a Student Record).

2. Click the Files tab under the student record.

3. Click the Add File button.

4. On the Add File window, enter a title for the file, click Select Files to Upload, then select the file or files to upload from your computer.

5. Click Save to start uploading the files into the system. When the upload process is completed, the file or files are displayed on the list under the Files tab.

To View Files in a Student Record

1. Open the student record for viewing (see Viewing a Student Record).

2. Click the Files tab under the student record.

3. Click the File Viewer button.

4. The system's built-in file viewer displays the first file under the student record. If there is more than one file, to navigate to the next files on the list, click the Next button on top until the button becomes disabled, which means that you have reached the last file on the list. To go back to the previous files, click the Previous button.

To Download a File in a Student Record

1. Click the Download button to the right of the file in the list.

2. Depending on your browser settings, you will be asked either to save the file to a designated location on your computer, or the file will be automatically downloaded to your computer.

Navigate to the download location, then double-click the file to open it.

To Edit the Name of a File in a Student Record

1. Click the Edit button to the right of the file in the list.

2. On the Edit File window, enter a new title for the file, then click Update.

To Delete a File in a Student Record

1. Click the Delete button to the right of the file in the list.

2. Click OK to delete the file.
